Dr. Payam Eslami
Dr Payam Eslami, General Dentist, (DMD, B.A.Sc, EE) has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in Chilliwack since 2013.
Prior to earning his degree in dentistry, he studied in Electrical Engineering and received his Bachelor’s degree with distinction at the University of British of Columbia. He then attended and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia. As a former engineer, he is a strong believer in implementing the latest technologies to obtain the highest quality of care for his patients. He enjoys attending post-degree seminars and continuing education classes to add to his skill sets. Dr. Eslami and his team are committed to providing quality care in a kind and comfortable environment. They have helped many patients from all ages overcome their anxiety towards dental treatment. He also values and strives to establish trusting long term relationships with his patients.
His hobbies include reading, traveling, hiking, and playing soccer.
Dr. Paulina Achita
Dr. Paulina Achita is the newest addition to Garrison Dentist. She recently relocated from the Greater Toronto Area to beautiful Chilliwack. Dr. Paulina has always been interested in health care. Before pursuing dentistry, she studied Life Sciences at Queen’s University where she discovered her passion for science. She went on to complete her Master’s of Science research studies at University of Toronto working on developing novel therapies to improve outcomes of organ transplantation. Although Dr. Paulina found research work very rewarding, she wanted to be directly involved in patient care, build relationships with her patients, and serve the community. Due to her lifelong love for art, science and health, dentistry seemed like the perfect fit. Dr. Paulina completed Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Western University where she cultivated her clinical skills and developed an eye for aesthetics. During her dental studies she continued with research and received an award for her work on potentially cancerous lesions and oral cancer in young patients.
Dr. Paulina enjoys working with patients of all ages and offers all comprehensive dental services in a friendly atmosphere. Her treatment philosophy includes minimally invasive dentistry with a strong emphasis on prevention and early detection of dental disease. She is committed to working with patients to improve their oral health, function, and beauty of their smile. Dr. Paulina especially enjoys cosmetic dentistry and is an Invisalign provider. When she isn’t improving smiles, you can find her at the beach, hiking, biking, reading novels, or enjoying her two bunnies. As a creative outlet, she enjoys watercolour painting.
Kendra – Manager
Kendra started her career in dentistry as a dental assistant in 2017 and then took the Dental Office Reception program at UFV shortly after moving to the Fraser Valley in 2018. She loves to helping people and looks forward to seeing everyone in the office.
When not at work she loves spending quality time with her friends and family and continues to explore the Fraser Valley.
Donna – Reception
Donna comes to us with more than 25 yrs experience as a Certified Dental Assistant, and now currently works as our treatment coordinator and office administrator. She is eager to help and make your experience in our office a great one.
Donna is a resident of Chilliwack and grew up here too. She enjoys the great outdoors with family and friends and you can find her hiking and running the local trails year round in this beautiful community we live in.
Max – RDH
Maxime is a Registered Dental Hygienist with 12 years of experience. She always strives to accomplish gentle but thorough cleaning and her passion and dedication translate into exemplary results for our patients. She enjoys partnering with patients to meet their goals and celebrate their success, while continually encouraging growth.
She is also a very busy mom of 2 little boys and spends most of her nights and weekends playing the role of a “hockey mom.” She enjoys hiking and staying active with her family and friends.
Amy – RDH
Amy brings over 20 years of experience as a registered dental hygienist to Garrison Dentist. As a long time resident of the Fraser Valley, she enjoys seeing familiar faces in the office and around town. Amy values building relationships with patients, especially winning over those people who may not be so keen on coming to dental visits. In her free time you can find Amy outdoors with her family and 2 dogs. She loves to read and will gladly give and take book recommendations.
Alicia – RDH
Alicia has been in dentistry since 2004 in various roles, but she had always wanted to pursue a career in dental hygiene. That dream came true when she graduated from the UFV Dental Hygiene Diploma Program in 2010. Alicia strives towards providing thorough and gentle dental hygiene care to each of her patients.
During her free time, Alicia loves spending time with her family and friends, yoga, kayaking, camping and baking. She also really enjoys volunteering in the community and at her son’s school.
Camryn – RDH
Camryn graduated with honours from Toronto College of Dental Hygiene in August 2021. She joined our team as a Dental Hygienist in December 2021. Having grown up in Chilliwack, Camryn was excited to be back in town to begin her career. Camryn strives to provide patients with a thorough and gentle care dental experience.
In her spare time, you will find her at the gym, doing yoga and enjoying all things outside.
Michelle – RDH
Michelle has been a dental hygienist for 11 years and began her career in dental 17 years ago as a dental assistant. She takes a comprehensive health approach to care, beginning with a healthy mouth and airway function. She values continuing education and has furthered her scope of practice by completing courses to treat advanced cases of gum disease. In addition, she is skilled at completing oral cancer checks and preliminary screenings for breathing dysfunction, such as snoring and mouth breathing associated with tongue position or tonsil size in adults and children. She is a conscientious professional with a gentle technique and cares for all her clients’ needs.
Michelle and her husband moved to Chilliwack from Ontario 3 years ago to enjoy the outdoors of beautiful BC. Outside work, she enjoys hiking big peaks, backcountry camping, and homesteading.
Carly – CDA
Born and raised in the Fraser Valley, Carly is a dedicated dental assistant with a gentle touch and an appreciation for oral health. She is passionate about creating beautiful smiles while providing quality dental care. Carly enjoys spending time with her friends and family in the outdoors hiking, snowshoeing and playing baseball. You will always feel supported by the kindness that she shows during your visit at Garrison Dentist
Kathi – CDA
Born and raised in Chilliwack, Kathi enjoys all that the Valley and surrounding areas have to offer, especially the lakes and the mountains. She has twenty years of dental experience and happily joined the team at Garrison Dentist when we opened our doors in September 2017.
She is compassionate, caring, and is committed to improving the health and wellness of our patients.
When not at work she loves spending time with her family and friends and is always planning her next adventure.
Martina – CDA
Martina joined the Garrison Dentist team in the summer of 2023. She has worked in dentistry ever since her graduating year of high school, where she began as a chairside assistant in her small northern hometown. She quickly developed a passion for the profession and wanted to pursue a career geared towards health care and helping others. Martina moved to the beautiful Fraser Valley in 2021, where she completed the CDA program at UFV and met her husband. When not at work, Martina enjoys playing sports, hiking in the summer months, and snowboarding in the winter.
